One of the biggest challenges condominium home owners face is finding enough storage space within their units.  While plenty of condominiums (especially newer builds) offer secured storage locker space, that isn't always a practical solution for everyone, and the challenges for finding balance and minimalizing clutter can often be difficult. 

Fear not! We're here to help! Here's a few solutions and storage hacks that are practical and stylish. 

Under Bed Storage

Purchasing a bed with storage beneath can be incredibly valuable for those with limited closet space in their bedrooms. It's a perfect option for those less used pieces of clothing that take up a lot of space (We're looking at you ugly Christmas sweaters) 

Floating Shelves

A common solution found in many homes, and versatile enough to work throughout various spaces in a home, including the bathroom, bedrooms, office spaces, or living room. Floating shelves can be used to store books, plants, picture frames, alcohol at your wet bar, or done as a space saving solution for bedrooms as side tables. When done right and not over cluttered, floating shelves can truly liven up a room and provide much needed storage space. 

Door Storage

In low traffic spaces (laundry room) behind the door storage can be a game changer, shoes, hats, or other apparel and accessories can all be nicely mounted on the back of a door with the many different door hanging storage solutions available. 

Wall Mount Your TV

Depending on your available space / layout, it might be crazy to contemplate a full sized office / desk solution and your boss probably won't be in favor of you working from your bed, a floating / folding or vanishing desk might just be your best option! Single shelf space solutions just don't cut it for most, consider dropping the minimalist and moving into a maximalist mindset when it comes to your closet storage solutions, having drawers, and multiple layers can truly transform your space and provide you with much needed storage for your clothing. 

What are some Other Options to save on storage? 

One of the most common misconceptions is that smaller spaces need to be clutter free, and while we're not suggesting everything be out and in the open, we do recommend exploring and embracing open storage solutions. From pots and pans hanging on a long iron bar via S hooks to wall mounted bike storage for daily commuters, these open (but effective) storage solutions can also add a trendy flare to your apartment. 

We recommend seeking out furniture that is multi use, built in storage in your living room table is one of the many multi use options that tackle homes that lack storage. 

Make tremendous use of any closet / laundry spaces, these rooms are low traffic and out of sight, maximize their effectiveness.
