Bonavista Down is a small community residing in the north-east of Lake Bonavista. neighbourhood in south-east Calgary. It is situated on Anderson Road to the north, in its West is the MacLeod Trail, south is Canyon Meadows Drive, and east is the Bow Bottom Trail. The community began its development in the 1970s that many of the houses still reflects that era. Houses are known for having a spacious space and lot area, however, condominiums and apartment complex are also common. The neighbourhood is favourably connected to a lot of amenities since it is served by public transportation system. Residents have easy access to parks and the Downtown area. The community also has facilities such as skating rink, tennis and basketball courts, and also a local Family Centre with a wave pool. Lake Sikome is also situated in Bonavista Down. Various schools can be found within the community such as St, Boniface, Nickle Junior High School, and the St. Mary’s University College a Catholic liberal arts school
