Chinook Mall
Chinook Centre, commonly known as Chinook Mall, is one of Calgary's largest and most popular shopping destinations. Chinook Mall has also been referred to as CF Chinook Centre with the CF representing Cadillac Fairview, the Canadian commercial real estate investor which owns, operates and manages the mall and provides a great shopping experience to visitors
The cultural significance of the name "Chinook" was chosen for the mall to reflect the local climate and cultural identity. The Chinook winds are well known in the city of Calgary for their ability to melt snow and bring warmth to the region, even in the depths of winter.
