The community of Cliff Bungalow is named after the small “bungalow” school built in the 1920s. Cliff Bungalow is a relatively small community located in the southwestern quadrant of Calgary. The boundaries of Cliff Bungalow are 17 Ave SW, 25 Ave SW, and 5 St SW. Founded in 1907, the Cliff Bungalow was owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1870s and was a part of the Mission district. There was a rezoning in this community that turned large homes and multi-family housing into apartments during the 1930s.
