Established in 1982, Sundance is a suburban community in the south-east of Calgary. It is situated in the east of Macleod Trail, is limited to the north-east by the Fish Creek Provincial Park and to the south of Stoney Trail. Sundance Lake is a 33-acre man-made lake constructed in the heart of the community. Residents also have easy entrance to the public beach of Sikome Lake. Fish Creek Elementary School and Sundance Elementary School are two public elementary schools that serve the community.
