Upper Mount Royal Condominiums

The community of Upper Mount Royal is a wealthy and elite community located in the southwest quadrant of Calgary. Upper Mount Royal neighbors the communities of Beltline and Elbow Park.

The community was originally called American Hill but was changed to Mount Royal by the Canadian Pacific Railway in honor of an exclusive Montreal community. The community street names were also borrowed from Montreal’s Mount Royal. There are many 100-year-old mansions from the early 20th Century which remain and huge custom-built homes have appeared on subdivided or redeveloped lots.
