Established in 2001, West Springs is a suburban community in the south-west of Calgary.
It is situated at the western border of the city and is joined by Springbank to the west.
To the east, it is defined by 69 Street W, to the south by Bow Trail and to the north by Old Banff Coach Road, Cougar Ridge community and the Canada Olympic Park. It was originally part of the East Springbank area of the Municipal District of Rocky View until its city annexation in 1995.
