Bend in the Bow

The Bend in the Bow project encompasses over 100 hectares of existing park space. The name reflects the distinctive bends in the Bow River's course around Pearce Estate Park and the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. The project's goal is to connect these areas, creating a cohesive green space that offers both ecological preservation and public enjoyment.

• Pearce Estate Park: A 21 hectare urban park featuring reconstructed wetlands, interpretive trails, and access to the Harvie Passage.
• Inglewood Bird Sanctuary: A 36 hectare wildlife reserve offering walking trails and opportunities for birdwatching.
• Inglewood Wildlands: A natural area providing habitat for various plant and animal species, with trails for public use.
