Butterfield Acres Petting Farm
Butterfield Acres is THE GOAT and is also a hands on, interactive farm experience enjoyed by guests on a real operating farm. Butterfield Acres guests will meet and feed animals like goats, sheep, rabbits, alpaca, donkeys, piglets and chickens. Education on farming and animal care is a large focus on the farm and the Butterfield Acres team works hard to ensure every animal is respected, loved and provided with the necessities to having a great life on the farm.
This family friendly farm located on the outskirts of NW Calgary is designed to give visitors, especially children, the opportunity to connect with nature and learn about rural living. Butterfield acres is a special place for childcare visits, school/preschool field trips, birthday parties, family events, and summer day camp goers. This peaceful, fun environment provides children with plenty of activities and is considered an educational and entertaining destination.

Harvest Pumpkin Fest: Held on October weekends. Find your favorite pumpkin somewhere on the farm and you can purchase it and take home ready to carve. Your carving design may even be inspired by something you see on the Butterfield Acres farm. Activities at Pumpkin Fest include corn mazes, pony rides, tractor pulls through spooky Scarecrow Alley, warm fires with S'more kits and hot chocolate or apple cider beverages. Pumpkin Fest birthday party celebrations are also available for booking.
Easter Egg Hunts:
Butterfield Acres Egg Hunt is an annual event held every spring. This fun and festive way for families to celebrate Easter is ideal for young children who can participate in a whimsical egg hunt while enjoying fresh air and interacting with farm animals in a picturesque setting.
Tiny farmers get to embark on a springtime adventure, collecting colorful eggs hidden throughout the farm, followed by a visit with the Easter Bunny for photo opportunities. The egg hunt experience often includes pony rides, petting zoo interactions, and other family activities. Create Easter memories with the charm of farm life. Advanced ticket purchase is required, as space is limited.

The Butterfield Acres animal crew have had many unique experiences including television appearances, prizes for multimillion dollar fundraisers, goat yoga classes, birthday party visits, Christmas nativity scenes, engagements, wedding ceremonies, high school therapy/destress events, Winter Carnivals, Stampede Hoe Downs, Easter Egg mall visits, Stampede photo shoots and more. The animals love to travel and make new friends.
