Established in 1957, it is a residential neighbourhood situated to the north of Glenmore Trail, Macleod Trail to the east, Heritage Drive to the south and Elbow Drive to the west. Among the first occupants of the community were said to be the family of Albert Fowler when they immigrated from England during 1912 and built their home in the Kingsland area. The community is served by LRT and has quick access to main roads enabling residents to easily commute in and out the neighbouring communities.
