Developed between 1972 and 1980, Silver Springs is a suburban community in the north-west of Calgary. It is bordered to the north by Crowchild Trail, to the east by Sarcee Trail, to the south by the Bow River and to the west by Nose Hill Drive, and the Bowmont Natural Area borders the community to the south. In the eastern part is where The Silver Springs golf course was developed. The community presents a magnificent panorama of the Canada Olympic Park as well as the Rocky Mountains.
