Inventory in Calgary is now at only 2,620 units, this represents a significant decrease (35% from 2021) with sales up over 66%! This months supply levels reached the lowest we've seen since 2006.

October 2021 Real Estate Stats

CALGARY REAL ESTATE STATISTICS september 2021

The stats for Octobers real estate market in Calgary have been compiled and released! This month we saw 2,186 total sales which ended up being a record high for the month and is trending over 35% higher than previous long term averages.

Moving into the fourth quarter, the pace of housing demand continues to exceed expectations in the city,” said CREB® chief economist Ann-Marie Lurie. “Much of the persistent strength is likely related to improving confidence in future economic prospects, as well as a sense of urgency among consumers to take advantage of the low-lending-rate environment.”

September 2021 Calgary Real Estate Statistics Recap

The headline for September real estate in Calgary? SALES REMAIN STRONG. CALGARY REAL ESTATE STATISTICS september 2021

The record for sales in September was set back in 2005 when Calgary witnessed some of it's most significant increases in value in the housing market. This month nearly reached this total with a combined (all property types) of 2,162 sales! This represents a year of year increase of over 26.7%. 

Chief economist Ann-Marie Lurie of the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®) said “While sales activity in the fall tends to be slower than in the spring months, the continued strong sales are likely being driven by consumers who were unable to transact earlier in the year when supply levels had not yet adjusted to demand,”
